Dennis Haskins, best known for playing Principal Richard Belding on Saved by the Bell, has died at the age of 75.

Haskins became a familiar face to ’90s television viewers as the strict but caring principal of Bayside High School. He played Mr. Belding throughout the original series and returned for several of the show’s spin-offs.

Beyond Saved by the Bell, Haskins had a long acting career with appearances across television and film, including roles in Mad Men, The Dukes of Hazzard and The West Wing.

For many fans, though, he will always be remembered as Mr. Belding and his memorable catchphrase, “Hey, hey, hey!”

Haskins leaves behind a career spanning decades and a character that remains a nostalgic part of many viewers’ childhoods.
