Ted’s Back and It’s Wilder Than Ever in Season 2!

Peacock has dropped a new trailer for Ted ahead of the Season 2 premiere. Created by Seth MacFarlane and based on his 2012 hit film, the series acts as a prequel, following the foul-mouthed teddy bear (voiced by MacFarlane) during high school with his best friend and “thunder buddy,” John (Max Burkholder), while living with John’s working-class Boston family in the 1990s. The cast also features Scott Grimes (American Dad!) and Alanna Ubach (Legally Blonde) as John’s parents, Matty and Susan, with Giorgia Whigham (13 Reasons Why) playing his cousin Blaire.

The new trailer highlights more of Ted and John’s mischievous adventures, now in John’s senior year. A notable surprise is Dropout star and Dimension 20 host Brennan Lee Mulligan guest-starring as a Dungeon Master in a Dungeons & Dragons–themed episode. Season 2’s eight episodes will all premiere on March 5, 2026.

I haven’t watched the first season of Ted yet, but I had heard about it.

I will admit, I am seeing a lot about season 2 on the internet through social media and TikTok, and it has gotten me interested enough to check out season one, so I can then jump into season 2.

I did try watching a few episodes of season one but more than a comedy, it looked like a farce. I didn’t enjoy it. Maybe I should try watching the show again and hopefully find it entertaining because so many people absolutely love it.
