Wednesday Addams is getting ready to return, and Season 3 is bringing plenty of new faces along for the ride!
Netflix has officially announced that production on Wednesday Season 3 has wrapped, giving fans a brand-new first look at Jenna Ortega back in character as everyone’s favourite deadpan Addams. The new image shows Wednesday sitting at her typewriter, looking as mysterious and unimpressed as ever.
The third season has been filming in Dublin, Ireland, with production also taking the story to Paris. Now that filming has officially wrapped, the series is moving into post-production ahead of its expected return in 2027.
New Faces at Nevermore
Season 3 isn’t just bringing back the familiar cast. Several exciting new actors are joining the Wednesday universe.
Eva Green is joining the cast as Aunt Ophelia, Morticia Addams’ mysterious sister and Wednesday’s aunt. Ophelia was teased during the Season 2 finale, so her arrival could reveal more about the Addams family’s secrets.
Winona Ryder is also joining the season, reuniting with director Tim Burton following their work together on Beetlejuice and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.
Other new additions include Chris Sarandon, Noah Taylor, Lena Headey, Andrew McCarthy, Oscar Morgan, James Lance and Kennedy Moyer. Character details for many of these newcomers are still being kept under wraps.
And that’s probably exactly how Wednesday would prefer it.
The Returning Cast
Jenna Ortega will once again lead the series as Wednesday Addams, with Emma Myers returning as Enid Sinclair.
Also returning are Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams, Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester, Hunter Doohan as Tyler Galpin, Joy Sunday as Bianca Barclay, Moosa Mostafa as Eugene, Georgie Farmer as Ajax, Billie Piper as Isadora Capri, Victor Dorobantu as Thing, Evie Templeton as Agnes DeMille and Joanna Lumley as Grandmama Hester Frump.
What Can We Expect?
Details about the Season 3 story remain largely under wraps, but the Season 2 finale left Wednesday with plenty of unfinished business.
Wednesday’s psychic vision revealed that Aunt Ophelia may be alive, while Enid’s transformation into an alpha werewolf left her future uncertain. Season 3 will also apparently explore more of the Addams family’s history and secrets.
With a mixture of returning favourites, new characters and a few familiar faces from the world of Tim Burton, Season 3 could be another seriously strange trip into the world of Wednesday Addams.
There’s still no exact release date, but Netflix is currently expecting Wednesday Season 3 to arrive in 2027.
For now, the cameras have stopped rolling — but the mystery is only beginning.

Wednesday season two was pretty good, so I expect nothing less from season three. I am wondering if they will actually give Wednesday a love interest, but I highly doubt it.
Wednesday have become one of Netflix’s biggest shows recently. I love how Jenna Ortega played that role. The Season 3 is bringing new faces and a Paris setting. I can’t wait to see what they have been cooking for us all this while.
