The gates to Wonka’s Chocolate Factory are open once again as Netflix launches Wonka’s The Golden Ticket, a new reality competition inspired by Roald Dahl’s beloved world.
The series sees 12 Golden Ticket winners and their chosen partners enter the factory, where they face a series of wild challenges, games and temptations for the chance to win Wonka’s ultimate prize.
I’ve watched five of the seven episodes so far and I’m really enjoying it. It’s a surprisingly fun watch, although hearing Gene Wilder’s voice is definitely an odd experience — especially knowing it has been recreated using AI. It adds a strange feeling to an otherwise wonderfully weird Wonka world.
The first seven episodes are streaming now, with the final two episodes arriving September 30.
