Awesome site
I think a lot of these independent films are probably pretty good, and honestly, I think a lot of Hollywood films have become lame. For instance, i was watching this camping movie with Adam Sandler and it had some Hollywood favorites in it, and honestly, it was terrible and It’s just more proof that Hollywood has become spoiled, and they are not answering to consumer demand for quality.
Note: One of my favorite low-budget independent films of all time is Slingblade. Who has seen it? It came out in the 90s.
I love the distinctive feel of the Film Independent Spirit Awards. The ceremony really gains a glamorous feel because of the venue. Being held in a tent on the beach is truly glamorous. And they are even smart enough to move the ceremony to one week before the Oscars. That definitely gives the winners some extra momentum before the big Academy Awards.
No Other Land winning the best documentary is well deserved. I’ve watched the documentary, and the efforts put in to make it a success was simply awesome. For that, I think the documentary deserves this win.
It’s not a surprise Best New Scripted Series was won by ShÅgun. I was always rooting for the TV show.
I think it’s time for me to watch Baby Reindeer.
