IT: Welcome to Derry was an absolutely gripping season from start to finish. I genuinely loved every episode, but episode seven stood out the most for me. It delivered a deep dive into Bob Gray and Pennywise before he fully became IT, adding layers of backstory that longtime fans will really appreciate.
Episode eight was the perfect finishing touch — the icing on an already incredible season. It tied everything together while still leaving you hungry for more.
Bill has always been phenomenal as Pennywise, and this series is no exception. He brings an unsettling presence that’s both terrifying and mesmerizing, proving once again why he’s so iconic in the role.
The kids were excellent across the board, delivering strong, believable performances, and the supporting cast added real weight and atmosphere to the story. Everyone felt perfectly cast, which made the world of Derry feel lived-in and real.
Overall, Welcome to Derry is a fantastic expansion of the IT universe. With two more seasons on the way, I’m genuinely excited to see where the story goes next.

I’m very excited but also scared they’ll overdo it. Pennywise’s story is cool but mystery was the real sauce before. It reminds me of when prequels explain too much and kill vibes. Still, if they focus on the atmosphere and not just jump scares, it could make sense.
Honestly, I’m curious. Derry has a crazy creepy energy. When I watched the original late night, I was feeling uneasy even without pennywise on screen. If they lean into that slow dread, then I’m in.
I so much enjoyed this show 100%. When it comes to being creepy, that was acted flawlessly in the show.
One of my favourite scene line of conversation in the show was “Come to Papa”.
I haven’t watched this show yet but I am pretty interested in watching it because I have been seeing positive reviews across multiple review sites. I frequently watch horror movies but I haven’t watched a lot of horror shows, but I am definitely going to watch it.
