About
A meet-the-parents rom-com collides with a haunted house horror in this Max movie starring Emmy-winners Brian Cox (Succession), Edie Falco (The Sopranos) and Lisa Kudrow (Friends).
A young gay couple, Rohan and Josh, plan a perfect weekend getaway in the country to introduce their parents. As tensions begin to flare between the more traditional Sharon and Frank and the laid-back Liddy and Cliff, the families soon realize that their rental is haunted by the presence of a 400-year-old poltergeist.
My thoughts...
- The film’s lead characters are a gay couple. We don’t get a lot of Horror films nowadays like this. This was one of my favorite things about this film.
- It’s got a great cast including Lisa Kudrow, Edie Falco, Dean Norris and Brian Cox.
- It’s written by a former head writer of Saturday Night Live.
- Brian Cox goes full-on demonic possession which was very cool to watch and extremely funny at times.
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5

I haven’t watched the film but the announcement trailer gives insight into what we should expect. The Parenting is a comedy horror film. The casts are fine talents like Brian Cox, Edie Falco, and Lisa Kudrow.
Parenting is definitely a nice movie to watch. The cast and all the team did an amazing job. I would rate the movie a 4.6 out of 5.
I didn’t think it was the best romantic comedy in the world, but it wasn’t the worst either. Honestly, my opinion is just meh. Out of 10, I’d give it a 6. I didn’t think it was amazing, and I might watch it again sometime, but I didn’t find it boring or unfunny either. It actually made me smile a few times despite everything.
I felt the horror of the haunted house. Though it is somewhat scary to watch, I still get the nerve to watch it out of curiosity. It is overwhelming. I like it, I bet you do too.
The actors did an amazing job in delivering their roles. Brian Cox in particular was spot on in the movie. I have seen the movie once, but I won’t mind watching it again next month when I am a bit free.
The Parenting movie is Simple,
Spooky, and a Little Unhinged
While there are shades of Meet the Parents in this movie, The Parenting sets itself apart as a unique film. Parenting is fun without being overly scary or gory, allowing this to be enjoyed for a mild scare with accompany laughs.
The movie parenting is a very nice and impressive movie. The theme directs for parents and soon to be parents. Parenting is tough as portrayed in the movie but the impact is priceless.
The Parenting movie is full of mixed scenes. It’s also a breathtaking and mind blowing movie. The weird part is the late realisation about the haunted house the rented. It’s indeed scary.
Parenting now is on another level. The screens, pressure and comparison. That made me think of seeing parents stressed trying to do everything “right”. This show feels timely. if it’s honest and not preachy, it’ll resonate.
